More Banana Ice Cream - this time with matcha.
I had been accumulating overripe bananas in my freezer. They were peeled, but still whole and extremely frozen. This didn't mix very well in the food processor compared with bananas only frozen for a couple of hours. If you are adding room temperature mix ins, you can just let it thaw a bit. But you can speed up the process by adding a hot mix in like warm matcha paste. I created a paste of 1 table spoon of matcha powder with 1.5-2tbsp hot water for every batch of three bananas. With this mix in, the texture became smooth immediately. Then I just tossed it into the freezer for an hour to get a more solid ice cream texture.
